Pours an opaque, deep, dark purple coloration with no head. Smells of fresh, vibrant fruity aromas of blueberry and black currant, with just a hint of green apple also coming through. Taste is a great balance of tart green apple and sistinct blueberry and black currant notes. Finishes with a medium tartness and some blueberry and black currant lingering in the aftertaste. Thick, chewy mouthfeel with a medium body and low carbonation.
Another excellent Smoothie Sour from Selfmade with a quite vibrant and natural flavor profile of fresh fruits and great balance of tart and sweet notes, as well as an amazing, thick and chewy body and mouthfeel. While is doesn't really have much in common with beer anymore, feeling more like an alcoholic fruit smoothie in taste and texture, it really is quite enjoyable in its own way, although probably better suited to the summer months, which are regrettably behind us now. Nevertheless this makes for an impressive brew that is pretty unique for it's vibrant fruitiness and thick texture, can't say that I've ever had anything compareable from Europe before.
