Dark brown color. Medium-sized, beige head. Roasted malt, chocolate, and a hint of prunes in the aroma. Well-balanced taste. Roasted bitterness intertwined with sweet malty notes.

Added this as an American Imperial Stout, since this is how the brewer intends on listing it. Pours a very deep brown, rather than black, with a light brown head that is among the creamiest I've ever seen. In some sense this feels more life a heavy black IPA rather than imperial stout. The hops seem to dominate the malts, even though there is plenty of both. The beer is extremely thick, or rather viscous for only sitting at 7.8%, providing for a fantastic mouthfeel. Overall an extremely interesting and well crafted beer that anyone visiting Tsypa should try.
