I "Walked The Bridge" whilst visiting Island City trying this beer off the tapper as part of an eight (8) sample flight. It poured a hazy amber with thin off white head that did not leave much lace. The scent had vanilla notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with semi sweet caramel malt base and bold vanilla and dunkel presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.

On tap in a restaurant in Lanesboro, into a shaker. Well, that was disappointing, since I was really hoping to get a nice does of Munich malt-heavy bready and nutty notes, and what I ended up getting was kind of flat and dull on that front, plus too much syrupy vanilla. Notwithstanding the vanilla, the feel and mouthful was okay.

Vanilla Dunkel their canned version, 5.2 % abv. Pours a dark cola brown with ruby tints when held to the light. Thin tan cap that dissipates immediately. No lacing. Aroma is cream soda vanilla. Flavor follows exactly. No malt or hops detected. Feel is light and inadequately carbonated. Overall a disappointment.

Frost Crack pours a dark brown color, with a nice large and lacing head. Big hints of warm vanilla. Flavors are big on vanilla, but a artificial vanilla, with a nippy aftertaste, hints of peat. Not bad body. Overall, not a bad beer, lots of fake vanilla flavors.
