Poured from crowler can into glass. Fill date is marked as '8/15(2018)'.
Black colored body. Half finger of khaki head settles to scattered islands and ring. Leaves behind a thin web of lacing.
Dark roasted malts in the aroma. Has sour cherry note. Has a minor note of rubber sneakers, which also shows up in the taste. Any coffee or chocolate notes are very subdued.
Taste is rather simple with dark roasted malts and the cherry. The cherry is a little sweet at the very beginning, but is quite sour (like cherry skins) at the end. The chocolate note is quite dark. Does not have a long after taste.
Mouth feel is thin to medium. The cherry seems to dry up the mouth after each sip. Okay carbonation.
Slightly better than average stout, that has the cherry addition but otherwise is a straight up American Stout.
