The Gourley pours a darker amber color, with a small head. Earthy aroma, hoppy, with a warm alcohol note. Flavor is earthy, a hint of bitterness, with a burnt sugar note. Good body and feel. Overall, its not like any other tripel, a little more bitter and earthy, less on the sweet side. the alcohol is very sneaky. Not bad at all, but not what you would remotely expect.
