This seasonal IPA begins its journey very much as a Belgian Witbier. Strata hops were added late in the whirlpool and then double-dry hopped with both Strata and Amarillo hops, resulting in a wheat-forward ale with floral and clove-like notes that complement the dank, fruit-forward hops. This beer was then finished on orange peels adding a layer of citrus notes. The result is a bright, fruity, slightly spicy beer that is refreshing and a worthy summer companion.

River Pearl pours a brighter, hazy, yellow color with a big, long-lasting head. The aroma is weaker, but not of vegetation and earth. The flavor is stronger and has a sweet creamy wheat flavor trying to come through, with hints of bold earth and a strong bitterness that subdues near the end. Overall, not bad, flavorful, it's a beer that tries to be sweeter and creamy, but a bitterness takes over.
