Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a medium size dark brown foamy head with some retention and some lacing notes. Aroma of chocolate notes with some light spices and some bitterness. Taste is also a mix of chocolate notes with some spices and light oak with some faint residual sugar notes and a slightly bitter finish. Body is below average and good carbonation with no real discernible alcohol notes. Interesting but a tad too thin for the style.

On tap at the Atlas Beer Collector in Hanoi.
Served in a tulip glass where it looked near black and opaque with a semi-durable tan head and garnet highlights.
It has a good aroma, nonetheless, the flavor is much better and less boozy than this suggests. Moderate+ strength for the style with some dark roasted grains, faint smoke, expresso and burnt toast balancing the initial sweetness and leading to a mildly bitter aftertaste.
Overall: a highly recommended Vietnamese brew.
