Poured from a 16 oz can into a wine glass.
L - Mid straw color with a bit of haze. Thick, fluffy off-white head.
S - Strong, sharp hops notes of pine, grapefruit and cat pee; classic West Coast aromas. No malt or yeast notes.
T - Hops are definitely at the forefront with pie, citrus and herbal flavors. Malt only shows up as a hint of cracker or cracked grain.
F - Medium body with a dryish finish, but not the bone-dry crispness I expect for the style. Moderate carbonation with a creamy sensation. Medium to high hops bitterness. Low alcohol warmth.
O - This is a good West Coast IPA that is a bit drier than typical, but it doesn't quite hit the mark for a Brut IPA's mouthfeel and body.
