L: Poured from a can to a pint glass. Had a dark, mahogany brown color and a thick, opaque consistency. There was a thin, tan-colored head that quickly dissipated. Not much lacing, though.
S: A good aroma of chocolate, malt, a nutty quality, coffee, and caramel.
T: Tasted of a bit of the nutty quality (not overly prominent), a good amount of malt, some light caramel notes, a decent shot of chocolate, and a hint of coffee. In general, a well-balanced flavor. It gets better as you go along, with a lot of the chocolate coming out. Sweet and pretty tasty.
F: A fair amount of carbonation with a smooth finish. Light-bodied.
O: Not a perfect stout, but certainly a likable one. Certainly drinkable.

Tap
Pours opaque black, brown light penetration around the edges. Ring of white lacing for a head.
Smells of toffee, licorice, biscuit, and mesquite.
Flavor is mesquite, anise, biscuit, toasted walnuts, and a dry woody hop finish.
Medium to light body, light stinging carbonation on the roof of the mouth.
Nice lighter flavorful stout on the bitter and smokey side. Not earth shattering, but easy to like and I would have this again.

Black, opaque with a giant tan head. It saves quickly and leaves no lacing. Smells roasty and tangy with sweetness and a hint of anise. Tastes sweet with a char bitterness. The anise flavor appears briefly but fades quickly. The beer is quite light in body with a lot of carbonation. Pretty tasty.
