Raspberry Berliner Weisse

On draft at the brewery. Pours lightly hazy ruby red/pink color with a thin pink head that reduces to a spotty lace cap. Light spotty soapy lacing and some streaming carbonation on the glass. A bit muted but juicy nose of fruit and lacto. Taste of tart/sour raspberry, fruit skin/seed, lemon, lime, red grape/wine, wheat, bread, hay, grass, lacto funk. Moderate tart/sour/tangy fruit finish. Medium high carb, light body. Balanced grainy malt and lactic acid finish. Crisp, clean, refreshing, and dry finish. No puckering. Very flavorful and not watery for the ABV. Outstanding style example. Perfectly balanced between lactic sourness, malt, and fruit. Everything I want in a Berliner.
