I'm stuck here in Korea for a bit. This country is a bit of dessert when it comes to good quality beers. Even the local bottle shop that sells me way over-priced craft beer only just now got a section set aside for local beer. We're talking one shelf about 1.5 - 2 ft long. On the upside the local craft beer is about 40-50% cheaper than all of the other imported beer that the shop sells.
This milk stout definitely fits the profile for a milk stout. It's dark black in color. There is only a little foaminess to the beer. When I initially poured it I had a bad pour and it was about two fingers wide. It quickly went back down to the typical thin sliver of foam that you expect with stouts. It tastes like a stout, sweet, smooth and just a little bit harsh. I'm saying harsh instead of bitter because that last bit feels more like the carbonation. So I'm not really getting any hop flavor. Stouts have very little bitterness to them anyways so C02 harshness replacing hop bitterness is not a huge set back.
It's a decent beer at a good price. It's got room for improvement but so does the Korean beer scene!

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
