July 2019...quiet, accessible stop in a business park not park from the throughways in the cute Philly suburbs. Indoor and outdoor seating, comfortable, spacious, inviting. Inside about 10-12 beers on tap, with a variety of styles, some small batch experimental mixed in. Range of sizes available, flights of make your own or individualized. Just about everything can be to-go'd in growlers and the new crawler machine (Sadly, the small batch is too small to leave with). The IPAs were juicy and hopped up. Food truck parked outside if you plan to stay a while.

13 beers available: Six IPAs and a pale ale. It's IPA/Pale Ale heavy. Polished industrial vibe. Long wooden bar and foot rails. Check! no beers over 7% so they are staying in a middle of the road range which works well for the area. Very reasonable prices. We split a 5 beers @ 4 oz each sampler flight for $12.
Some beers available in cans were not available on tap. Bummer. All tap beers can be crowlers for $9 or growler for $15. Didnt rry the food. There was a NICK'S food truck out front.

We stopped in for a visit this weekend. Very excited to check it out as it is the closest brewery to our house. Very nicely laid out with a nice long bar, some indoor seating, and a few picnic tables outside. Very pleasant service. Beers were solid. The highlights were the dry stout and the experimental IPA. ESB was the only miss (had an odd roast character and lacked the sweetness from the crystal malt).
A worthy place that we hope does well.

Locust Lane is a charming, clean, well-designed brewery & tasting room in Malvern, PA not far from The Beer Store.
It's in an industrial park on the aptly named Three Tun Road, and so there's plenty of parking available, and a spot right out front for their food truck of the day (4pm Thurs., and 1pm Fri. - Sun.)
The decor is done in the currently popular "modern industrial and reclaimed wood" vein but it's set up nicely and well done. The bar looks into the brewery displaying the 15bbl brewhouse, and there are a fair amount of tables and chairs throughout the room as well.
They have ten taps although they've yet to fill them all with their own beer; and they do offer a cider (as well as PA wines) so I doubt they'll take that off unless it's for a special event. Additionally, a distilling operation is slated to go in next door, which would most likely mean a greater variety of options for those who shy away from beer.
Not unlike most operations of this type, which are very basic, there's a bit of what you bring to it that makes it enjoyable. If you simply like sitting down and enjoying a tasty brew at the bar by yourself they've got you covered. If you'd prefer to bring a few friends, have a couple of Empanada's from Abuelita's and a pint or two and chat, they've got you covered. Or, and I'm sure they'd enjoy this, if you'd like to get together a gang of Penn Staters to watch the game - they've got you covered!
Note: as they get going and increase the number of beer they have on tap I'll update their score for "Selection".
