This dark, hazelnutty, rich, roasty, change-your life BROWN has enough mild Fuggle hops to choke a goat. You’ll swear we added fresh toasted nuts to this beer, but you’d be fooled. It’s a Revelation!

Poured from a pint can gifted us by our Minnesotan son-in-law — thanks, Kyle! — into two snifters.
Look: Dark brown with a thin tan head that dissipated rather rapidly, leaving some fine-bubbled lacing.
Nose: Mostly rich dark roast, a bit of coffee, some hazelnut.
Mouthfeel: Medium thin, adequate carbonation.
Attack: Robustly follows the nose — plenty intense flavor.
Finish: The attack lingers nicely quite a while, but then bitterness comes through mildly but approaching more astringency than I favor — really the only reason I’m not giving the taste a higher number.
Overall: A solid American Brown I’d drink again. Enjoying it tonite with grilled pork tenderloin with a mustard-bourbon sauce — it’s pairing pretty well.

Poured from 16oz can into glass. No dating information found. 6.2%ABV on the label description.
Clear, brown colored body. Half a finger of light beige head settles to thin cap. Leaves behind a good coverage of lacing sheeting.
Aroma of roasted malts, with a nutty aspect as well as coffee, and a hint of chocolate.
Taste is of roasted malts, with a slight sour flavor. Also has big time coffee notes. No bitterness.
Thin to medium mouth feel. Okay carbonation.
The aroma is the best part of this beer, because the taste profile is rather shallow and quick to pass. The thinner mouth feel also detracts. I think the slightly sour flavor is what the brewer calls the hazelnut flavor contribution. Easy enough to drink but just lacking in oomph.
