Pours a milky orange-gold with a finger of creamy head that dissipates to a thin ring with a bit of lacing. Pineapple-y nose with some hints of orange. Taste follows nose. Nice slightly smooth mouthfeel. Very enjoyable.

Appearance: A bubble show builds a three-finger head atop the cloudy goldenstraw liquid; speckled lacing
Smell: Dank pineapple and tangerine elements with a bit of shortbread malt
Taste: Dank flavors, from the outset, with the pineapple protruding; tangerine and citrus pith elements build, through the middle, and bring a finish with moderate to high bitterness
Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation; somewhat creamy
Overall: A nice NE IPA with some good dank bitterness for the hopheads

Pale color like white grapefruit juice. A finger of white head leaves a few bands of lacing. Smell is big grapefruit and pine with some underlying malty sweetness. The taste is lightly sweet with a ton of grapefruit flavor. There is a brightness and acidity to it and a nice creamy mouthfeel.

I had this on draught at a restaurant in Wilmington, NC. Pint pour served in a cylindrical glass. It pours a cloudy, golden amber with a finger of milk-white head and generous lacing with excellent retention. The smell is subdued with some lite malt, oats, lemon, grapefruit, and floral hops. This is a malt-forward IPA with tastes of oats, honey, rye, and lemon peel. It's rather dank. The Citra and Idaho 7 hops provide additional flavor but no much bitterness. The finish is slightly sour. This ale is medium-bodied and lightly-carbonated and its 7.1% AVB seems just right. Overall, this is a fine southern style malt-forward IPA from an up and coming brewer. It paired nicely with a plate of fried catfish, grits, and okra.
