Jet black body, opaque; thick and frothy brown head. Big roasted and charred grain nose with a bit of spiciness in the background. Excellent taste; bitter chocolate with a healthy dose of chili pepper heat and cinnamon spiciness. Heavy mouthfeel; a bit oily with a nice boozy and peppery heat offset.
This is an excellent dark beer with a huge habanero chili pepper kick. The dark malts and cinnamon are certainly in play, but its the marriage of the stout and the chilies that really grab me and make this beer slightly better than the sum of its parts.
Poured out at 47 °F; 2021 vintage.

Draft
A- pours jet black in color with a one finger creamy khaki head, good retention, plenty of lacing
S- cocoa nibs, vanilla beans, green pepper, cinnamon, black licorice
T- rich chocolate with cinnamon up front, mid palate gives some charred malt and a hint of vanilla. The finish gives cocoa nibs, roast and a bold pepper heat
M- medium body with moderate carbonation leads to a creamy mouthfeel that continues into a velvety finish, just a bit of pepper heat after the finish
