Pours a orange hued amber thumb sized cream colored head, light lacing.

Aroma is lots of caramel malts with a deep underlying citrus hops and pine resin.

Taste follows the nose rich malts body loads of caramel malt, siome light toffee notes. Hope taste aged like it has been a while but it has good flavors.

Mouthfeel is full with fairly smooth carbonation.

Overall a pretty good beer, maybe not the best BW but it's a good brew.

A: Pours a fairly hazy medium golden honey in color with moderate amounts of fine active visible carbonation rising along the edges of the glass and moderate peach + apricot + bright orange + burnt orange + copper + bright yellow + dark golden yellow colored highlights. The beer has a two finger tall dense creamy foamy beige head that slowly reduces to a couple of small to medium sized patch of medium thick film covering a combined little more than 20% of the surface of the beer surrounded by a large patch of thin film covering the remainder of the surface of the beer and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Significant amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Slightly stronger than moderate aromas of biscuit + bready + toffee + caramel + toasted malts with a slightly heavier than moderate amount of caramel + toffee sweetness. Moderate to strong aromas of citrus/grapefruit + stone fruit/peach + pine + dank resinous hops. Light aromas of booziness.

T: Upfront there are slightly stronger than moderate flavors of biscuit + bready + toffee + caramel + toasted malts with a slightly heavier than moderate amount of caramel + toffee sweetness. That is followed by moderate to strong flavors of citrus/grapefruit + stone fruit/peach + pine + dank resinous hops which impart a light to moderate amount of slightly aggressive bitterness which lingers for a moderate amount of time. Light to moderate hints of booziness in the finish.

M: Medium to full bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Thick and chewy with a light to moderate amount of alcohol warming in the finish.

O: This is a big boozy thick chewy hybrid TIPA + American Barleywine and is definitely much more of a slow sipper than easy drink - the alcohol is very detectable in the aroma, flavor, and mouthfeel. Enjoyable with some nice hop flavors and aromas over a very solid malt backbone.

Look: It pours amber with a bit of clouding. It has an off white head with good head retention.

Smell: It has malty aromas that feature caramel. There are also several hop elements including grapefruit, pine, and floral.

Taste: It has a strong caramel element with grapefruit and pine. There are some orange and floral in support.

Feel: It has a thick chewy feel with strong hops aftertaste. It is a bit heavy on the palate. There is also some strong alcohol warming.

Overall, this one reminds me of Dogfish Head 120 but not as potent. It's a good beer, but it's heavy on the palate.
