A: Pours an opaque yet still clear jet black in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising along the edges of the glass and moderate dark cola brown + dark chestnut brown + amber colored highlights. The beer has a two finger tall creamy foamy tan head that reduces to a large patch of very thin film covering the entire surface of the beer and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Light amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Light to moderate aromas of roasty + dark + chocolate + toffee + slightly spicy rye malts with a very light amount of toffee sweetness. Light aromas of lager yeast and a light aroma of earthy hops.
T: Moderate flavors of roasty + dark + chocolate + toffee + slightly spicy rye malts with a very light amount of toffee sweetness. That is followed by light flavors of lager yeast. Finally there is a light flavor of earthy hops. Light amounts of roasty bitterness which lingers for a moderate amount of time.
M: Light bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Slightly crisp upfront with a hint of dryness and a relatively clean finish.
O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol and a light + refreshing + clean mouthfeel. Enjoyable with a pleasant complexity of malt flavors + aromas and just enough roastiness. Definitely a beer that I could have a handful of in a session.
