New Anthem Beer Project

 

My first beer from this Wilmington NC brewery. Poured from a16 oz can into a pint glass, the first pour was clear gold in color. Subsequent pours were hazy gold. Medium size foamy white head with good retention. Big, thick bands of foamy white lacing on the glass. Aroma and taste feature piney hops and a little grapefruit. There is a bready malt component too. Tasty and not all that complex. Mouthfeel was rich and a little harsh from the bitterness. Bitterness level was fine!! I liked this beer. Good flavor, nice bitterness and looked great in the glass.
