I had this beer on-tap at the brewery in a stemmed glass. They have it billed as a "Citra pale ale"; the version I had was 5.4% ABV.
Appearance: medium golden hue with a moderate haze and a thin layer of foam atop.
Smell: grassy, citrusy, earthy hop aroma. Not bad, if not particularly complex.
Taste: quite bitter up front, with an earthy character, and a kind of rind-y citrus flavor. It's bracing, but I like it.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: it's definitely on the bitter side, but I think that's one thing I like about it. Also, the name is impeccable.
