Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours a very dark mahogany brown, appearing nearly opaque black in the glass with a one finger khaki head with great retention and nice lacing. Aroma of dark toasted malt, cocoa, mild molasses and a slight pepper burn. Flavor is dark toasted malt with light char, milk chocolate, hot and green pepper, a touch of cinnamon and vanilla. Lingering light mild heat from the peppers. Medium bodied with moderate creaminess, nice mouth feel. Always great to find another Mexican chocolate inspired stout, and this is a fine one. The chocolate is a bit more subdued than in a few others I've had and tastes more like milk chocolate with a hint of cinnamon, but still nice and chocolatey. There is a distinct hot pepper character with some fresh pepper flavor as well; the heat is fairly mild, which I appreciate in a pepper stout, no point in suffering. Great silky mouth feel. Nicely done, I like this a lot.
