True to style lager, made with various bread and caramel forward malts. Fermented with our house lager strain, producing a highly drinkable, complex lagerbier perfect for colder temperatures.

Pours a clear golden copper color with excellent head and lacing., Smell has both light and dark fruits with baked bread malts.Taste has sweet floral hoops along with some malts and dark fruits ,some nutty bread notes and caramel/toffee. 16oz can. No dating information found, but Portage just started its canning program.
Clear, pale amber colored body. Three finger off white head upon pouring, which recedes to a thin cap. Leaves strings and trails of lacing.
Aroma has roasted malts and a nutty addition. Hops are floral in expression but in the background.
Taste follows the nose with roasted malts, caramel and a nutty flavor. Again the hops are in the background and have a floral flavor. Malts exist in the aftertaste.
Mouthfeel seems full and smooth. Very good carbonation.
Full flavored lager, with balance and well done malts.

This beer pours a pale amber with a large head. The aroma is rich, with toasted malts, roasted nuts, and a slight earthy floral note. The flavor is rich and gentle, with loads of complex toasted malts, brown bread, nutty flavors, and a rich, slightly floral flavor. The mouthfeel is rich and gentle. Overall this is a magnificent beer - really up a step from the standard examples of this style, it is so rich and creamy, yet never over sweet.
