On tap at Tap and Mallet in Rochester, NY.
This one pours a slightly hazy golden orange, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells pretty grassy and piney, with a huge orange marmalade character, some mango, grapefruit, and lemon.
This has a super dank finish, weed and hay, with a huge fruit character up front- as the kids would say, it's pretty juicy. All the fruits I mentioned above are definitely there, with mango and orange leading the way. Where did these guys come from? This is delicious.
This is crisp and really clean- very drinkable.
This is pretty bigly. Tremendous.

I had this on draught at the brewery. 16 oz. pour served in a goblet. It pours a turbid, honey-straw color with one finger of fluffy, bright white head and extensive and long-lasting lacing. It smells of lemon, mango, melon, grapefruit, and floral hops. The taste features sweet mango, melon, and caramel, along with lemon, pine, and slightly bitter hops. The tastes blend really nicely. This IPA is really delicate for its 6.4% ABV. It's almost creamy, with moderate carbonation. While not exactly sessionable, the ABV is not distracting. Overall, this is a tasty, creamy, and easy drinking IPA. It's well-crafted and delicious. District 96 is killing it!

Cloudy dark straw, almost murky, topped by two fingers of actively bubbling foam that slowly relaxes to a thick cap and leaves slathers of itself clinging to the inside of the glass like some crazy wallpaper bas relief shaving cream.
Okay you may have read the descriptor tropical aroma, THIS is a fucking tropical aroma. Mango, pineapple, ripe melon, sweet citrus, crisp grainy sweet, hints of sweet floral, and a balancing dollop of pith combine perfectly into a bouquet that turns on the salivary glands like spraying ether into an engine as ignition fires.
Amazing full flavored taste that is a perfectly balanced, bright, clean as a whistle rendition of all the flavors in the aroma. This is as good as it gets. One is enticed into the next sip as means of confirming that the memory of the perfection of last sip was accurate. End of sip is juicy but there is some pith in it to balance without turning it bitter.
Mouthfeel is where the District 96 crew put an exclamation point to the statement of delectability that are the aroma and taste. Low/med. carb. quite viscous, yet soft on palate, and super refreshing, interesting flavors, and a finish that creates desire for next sip that is impossible to deny.
Good godamighty this is a fine beer. Highest recommendation for this new beer and new brewery that is destined to be one of the finest in the state, and likely the nation. Best advice is get to District 96 as soon as possible and enjoy the finest IPA in the Hudson Valley

Let me tell you a tale………… ‘twas the anniversary of the birth of our great nation. Our local craft beer home of worship (Burger Loft, also owned by District 96) showcased a perfect scored beer from our friends in VT (via CT) – Sip of Sunshine. Beer Advocate perfect 100 score. But to our dismay…….. NO ONE WAS DRINKING IT ???? Why might you ask??????? On that same day, District 96 released the first batch of their Single Hop Citra (aka- Yuuuuge). This is a perfect IPA. Full body (but not too heavy…. designed for summer savoring). The finish is amongst the BEST of D96’s beers - dank – resiny – sticky !!! My tongue stuck to the roof of my mouth and had to be pried off as I savored each resin note. The finish goes on and on and on. Take a sip and just let it happen. District 96 is the BEST brewery in the Hudson Valley – bar none !!!
