(Blind Review)
L - massive, dense offwhite head leaves sporadic lacing. Body is a vibrant orange. Compared to the blind Trill I had, this looks better, although lacking in Galaxy milkiness.
S - floral, white wine, earthy, a little citrus. Smells like Nelson perhaps.
T - juicier than the nose suggested. Grapefruit at first, then a wash of Nelsony white wine, funk, and cattiness. Earthy middle...not sure what hop is causing that. Finishes a little sweet with moderate booze. Moderate bitterness. Moderate-low sweetness.
F - medium-full body with perfect carb to match.
O - if this isn’t Nelson hopped, I’ve discovered a second hop that hits me like Nelson does. The beauty of blind beers! Guessing this is slightly lower abv than the first (guessing 8% dipa), probably ddh, with multiple hops involved.

Reviewed 3 days after can release. Poured into a D96 snifter. It pours an opaque, pale pastel lemon color with a creamy, milk-white head and thick film of lacing. The nose is fruity and aromatic with lemon, grapefruit, pineapple, mango, guava, and other exotic fruits. The taste is amazing: It opens with tropical fruit sweetness from the Citra hops, including pineapple, mango, and a hint of banana. It's balanced by tart lemon and grapefruit rind. There is also abundant pine and a sharp, biting hop bitterness at the finish. This ale is medium-bodied and nicely carbonated, and with a manageable 8% ABV a second pour is no obstacle. Overall, Sexual Frustration is a vintage D96 DIPA with sensory overload of huge flavors and nose. It's great to be able buy cans now. The only thing missing is a Burger Loft mushroom burger and fries, which would be the perfect food pairing with this extraordinary ale.
