So we took Photo Bombs base and yeast with MOAB hop profile and created MOAPB. This juice crusher has notes of papayas, pineapple juice, peach nechtor and mangos.

16 oz can
Pours a hazy pale yellow color with a finger of sudsy white head. Moderate head retention with tons of clingy lacing.
Citrusy aroma with some lighter tropical notes of pineapple, peach, and honeydew melon. Nice but pretty standard.
The flavor is full of fruity hop notes and biscuity malt. Lots of grapefruit, lemon, lime zest and orange rind, as well as mango, stone fruit, pineapple, and melon with a hint of piney bitterness.
Medium bodied with softer carbonation. Creamy, smooth and dry. No alcohol detected.
Overall this is a great NEIPA that doesn't really do anything that stands out but what it does do is done extremely well. Well-balanced and highly drinkable.

Pours a hazy, orange coloration with a large, fluffy head. Smells of light biscuity malt and tropical, stone fruit, citrus hops, with notes of passion fruit, guava, apricot and orange. Taste is a great balance of light biscuity malt and fruity, juicy, slightly floral and grassy hops, with tropical, stone fruit and citrus notes of passion fruit, guava, pineapple, apricot and orange. Finishes with a light bitterness and some guava, apricot and orange lingering in the aftertaste. Soft mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
This one came as a bit of a disappointment to me after I have not rated a single IPA I've had from District.96 at less than 4.6. It's still good, but the hops are not as juicy, vibrant and most of all well-defined as I'm used to from this brewery. There's also that certain hint of flintstone vitamin, which makes me think that I might have gotten an old can here. Which is weird, because it should have been from the same delivery as the one I had 3 weeks ago and was excellent. Not sure if this one is older than I thought or just not up to their usual standards, but honestly if a brewery doesn't print canning dates on their cans, they deserve the "bad" review. This is still pretty good, just not as stellar as every other brew I've had from them so far.

Reviewed 3 days after can release. Poured into a snulip glass. It pours a turbid, muddy pastel orange with a half finger, creamy, egg-white cap and thin film of soapy lacing with retention through the pour. It has a big, fragrant nose featuring lemon, lime, grapefruit, pineapple, tangerine, ripe melon, peach, and soft floral hops. The taste is equally big and bold with a fabulous balance of tart citrus and sweet, ripe melon and mango. The sweetness balances - but never overcomes, the slightly bitter and acidic citrus and is therefore quite refreshing. One thing I didn't notice until the end is D96's signature snake fruit. The hops provide a clean bitterness throughout. The mouth feel is vintage D96: plush and creamy with a perfect level of carbonation, and the 8% ABV gives it substance without heaviness. Overall, M.O.A.P.B. is yet another exquisite New England IPA from District 96. They're dialed-in on the style.

This was the second District 96 beer that I was able to obtain and review on her, as I traded for it recently with the same person who got me the other can of theirs. Once again, this was an Imperial IPA that felt more like a typical New England IPA because of how hazy it was and the lack of any perceived alcohol. No doubt that this was a winner as it was smooth and oh-so-easy to quaff!
Quite a hazy pour to this as this beer was a hazy goldenrod with a nice, full head topping this off. That took a while to settle down as there were a few thick, rocky rings of lacing left about a third of the way down the side of my pint glass. Lots of melon, bubble gum, and cotton candy in the nose along with some exotic fruit and wild floral notes as the taste picked up where the aroma left off. Plush and sweet, this had quite a flavor profile to it as some dry lime, overripe peach and star fruit, and tropical hob burn entered the fray once this fully warmed up. Sugary and stickily sweet, there wasn't a lot of overt juiciness to this although it went down smoothly and with a nice, subtle slickness that was more noticeable because of the lack of overt carbonation present in this beer.
The same could be said for the alcohol as I never tasted it and only felt a bit of once I got near the bottom of the liquid. The only downfall of this beer was the dozen or so bits of sediment that ended up there as they weren't hard and had to be swirled out before I finished this off. Plenty of body to this as this was balanced but bit less burn and a few more bubbles would have made this an elite brew. As it was, this undated can was enjoyable and not quite what I was accustomed to, as it left me wanting more. Nice job by District 96 on this one!

Hazy marigold colored. Dense, snow white head cover. Lots of lace. Aroma and flavor similarly represent papaya, lime, peach skin, nectarine syrup, pine, orange sorbet. Light and fluffy feel, medium bodied, and easy to drink.
