Pint on draught at Burger Loft. It pours a beautiful turbid yellow-brown color with a long-lasting, thick, creamy milk-white head and a thick coating of lacing. It's a beautiful pour but typical of D96. On the eose there is lemon, lime, grapefruit, pineapple, and summer berries. The taste opens with tart lemon and grapefruit and sweet berries, and the unique taste of Nelson Sauvin hops. The complex bill of Nelson, Enigma, Vic Secret, and Summer (a new one to me) hops is flavorful and moderately bitter. It's mouth feel is luxurious: plush and creamy with a pleasant level of carbonation, and at 8% ABV it's a very easy drinker. Overall, Mother of All Gills is a tasty and thoroughly enjoyable DIPA. And, as expected, it paired perfectly with Burger Loft's mushroom cheeseburger. I can't think of a better lunch!
