This was another beer from District 96 that I was lucky enough to trade for recently. As was the case with the other offerings, this was a solid beer that was easy to drink and did not last in my glass for very long, as it never felt like an Imperial IPA!
Of course, this poured like orange juice but with a slightly darker hue and some murkiness to it as well. A nice head topped it off as it wasn't big, but lasted long and left a very nice ring behind about a quarter of the way down the inside of my pint glass. Splotchy spots were found below that as the lacing was nearly as appealing as the liquid itself. Lots of orange juice, dank hops, and some exotic fruit were in the nose as the taste was just as soft, juicy, and inviting. Tobacco and the trademark snake fruit were also in the mix once this fully warmed up, as the Columbus and Mosaic were apparent in the underlying dank and weedy nature that were underneath throughout.
Enough booze was here although I never tasted it and the carbonation and malt were light, but present as they helped balance this out while keeping this as light as could be. Yes, there was some dark sediment at the bottom of the liquid but this can looked fresh based on it's Instagram post but as always, I wish that it was dated on the bottom! Besides that, this was wonderful and proof once again of why District 96 has caught on like wildfire in this neck of the woods!
