Privately double dry hopped with lemon drop, cascade, and Citra. No government influence in this one just clean lemony citrus and a smooth snake fruit presence.

Poured into a snifter/tulip style glass
L: 4.75. Opaque milky yellow/orange. Good carbonation evident near the head. Medium white head.
S: 4.5. Dank hops. Citrusy fruits. Malts. All jump at you.
T: 4. Pretty great, but there is an off putting chalky, medicinal orange flavor in there. Other than that, fantastic.
F: 4. Thick bodied. No alcohol burn.
O: 4.25 A great NE IPA worth grabbing.

On draught at The Burger Loft. 12 oz. pour. It's a turbid, dirty golden-tangerine color with a half finger of creamy, milk-white head and a thick, long-lasting film of lacing. The aroma is fruity and tropical with lemon, lime, and ripe tropical fruit; the Vic Secret and Motueka hops give it that distinctive South Pacific smell. The taste opens with lots of lime and tart lemon. I let the glass warm as I awaited my meal and was rewarded with additional flavors of ripe melon, mango, and snake fruit. Nothing on the website indicates the use of lactose but there is a creamy sweetness (the brewery describes it as "creamy polenta") balanced by a hint of dry white wine grape from the Enigma hops. It's only mildly bitter at the finish. This ale has the luxurious, thick mouth feel typical of D96's big IPAs. But at 8% ABV it's highly drinkable. Overall, I really enjoyed Private Sector, along with Burger Loft's fantastic mushroom burgers.

Pours a milky pale orange with nearly two fingers of fluffy, just off white head. Aroma has lemony-tangerine notes along with ripe tropical fruits, maybe a bit of melon. Taste hits the same notes as the aroma, it has a lemon-tangerine citrus thing upfront then D96’s signature snake fruit through the finish. As this warms a bit I get a little earthy dankness that really adds to the experience. Medium-full body with moderate carbonation. Overall this is very tasty and a very good expression of D96’s house flavor.
