District 96 Beer Factory

Poured into a weizen glass. Pours a moderately hazy, medium golden amber with a fine, two finger white head with great retention and solid lacing. Aroma of wheat, coriander, clove and lemon; pleasantly spicy. Flavor follows, with slightly husky wheat malt, coriander, clove, orange and lemon; light spices linger in the finish. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. Haven't had a witbier for a while and this glass makes me regret not having this style more often. This is a quite nice wit; the wheat base is solid and to style and both the spicing and citrus notes are are clear, but well balanced and deftly understated. Great aftertaste of wheat and coriander/clove. Kind of a uninspiring name for a brewery (local meaning?) and subdued graphics on the can did not get me excited to try this, but the contents are what's important and I'm very pleased. I will look for something else from these guys, good intro to the brewery.
