Got a few of these from a cousin of mine not too long ago, as I enjoy anything from District 96. This wasn't like the other beers I had from them in terms of style but I enjoyed it and how easy it was to drink. Categorizing it was another story however, as I don't know where Mexican Lagers fall under on this site!

Of course, this poured gold with a decent clarity to it and a bit of hazy shine when held up to the light. Not much head topped it off and even less lacing was left behind as I worked my way through this, as a fine, sandy sediment settled at the bottom of my pint glass. Lots of meat, tortilla, and cereal in the quiet nose as the taste closely followed suit. The description of this on Instagram has it sounding like a burrito as this leaned more to the guacamole and sauce end of it than spicy chicken, beef, or hot sauce. Plenty full in bite, the carbonation was low and it was nearly impossible to discern any overt hops in this.

The same could be said for the booze as this went down relatively easily and didn't warm me up at all. A hint of lime juice emerged in the aftertaste with it complementing the filler nicely. As always, the bottom of this can wasn't dated as it needed to be although this was released relatively recently. Not the best offering from District 96 but it's nicely done and easy to enjoy, just like their more well-known beers!
