Picked this up a couple of weeks back during my first run up to District 96 as I ended up putting this on my list for a friend. Obviously, I never had this before and although it wasn't quite on par with the better offerings that I've had from these guys, I enjoyed this beer and found it's description accurate as it was something that I had no problem kicking back with!

Not a surprise that this had a golden, cloudy hue to it that was uniform in hue with a subtle glow to it when held up to the light. Enough head topped it off, although it settled quickly, as the webbed lacing that was left behind was extensive, but thin and concentrated in the middle of my pint glass. Lots of tobacco, white chocolate, dank hops, and earthiness in the muted nose as the taste contained pithy citrus fruit, spicy tea, and of course, District 96's famous snake fruit finish. Slightly oily, fresh as could be, and earthy in nature, this had a bit of a left coast feel to it while still feel true to stylistic form and indicative of what I've come to expect from them.

Hard to discern any alcohol here as it might have been possible to have another in a sitting. Even though there wasn't any date on this, Instagram indicated that this was practically right off the line when I picked it up. Even when they don't quite hit a home run, District 96 has become one of my favorite breweries to come on the scene in recent months and this was proof that their less-popular offerings are still enjoyable and worth getting. Like a good cigar or blunt, this is worth ending the day with as one forgets about life's troubles...

Can from Vinyl Beer on the UES, NYC. Pours a hazy light golden orange with a finger of creamy white head that sticks around, nice lacing, smell is dank bitter kiwi skin, camomile tea, vanilla, fresh glazed donut, tangerine zest, and lime, taste is green tea mille crepe cake, krispy creme donut, hints of peach, papaya, orange blossom, and vanilla, mild lime pith finish, feel is soft, light, and creamy. A pillowy tea forward crepe/donut treat.
