poured into a curvaceous pilsner glass

L: 3.75 Quite bright. Amber brown. Transparent. Nice carbonation. Head thins.
S: 3.75. Super bready. Caramel. Milk chocolate. Little bit of hops and booze.
T: 4 Up front It has a chocolately caramel sweetness. Almost maply. Bready malt towards the back end.
F: 4 Medium bodied. Warms you up a bit.
O: 3.75. There seems to be two parties at District 96 - snake juice beers and non snake juice beers. This is a good example of the latter, but probably not something I'll revisit.

Poured from undated can into a tulip glass. It pours a dark ruby-cola color with a thin, light khaki-colored head and minimal lacing. The nose is fruity with caramel, apple, raisin, plum, and brown sugar. The taste opens fruity with malty sweetness and brown bread. It's sweet but not cloying. It finishes with subtle spiciness. The mouth feel is on the thin side with moderate carbonation, and it's readily drinkable at 7% ABV. Overall, Two Party System is pleasant enough but not special considering what District 96 is capable of brewing.

A: Dark amber edging on brown with good clarity and bright salamander highlights.

S: Brown sugar, week old cranberry fruit bread left a little too long under the broiler.

M: Smooth, med-full bodied. Low-mod carbonation.

T: Lightly toasted marshmallow without the sticky sweetness, a little root beer. Dark pretzels with the slightest drizzle of caramel. Good attenuation with low-relative sweetness.
