Poured into a Belgian style tulip/snifter
L: 4.5. It's orange juice. Opaque. Medium head.
S: 4.25 A lot going on here and nothing really stands out over anything, but its very enticing. Nice aroma of fruit candy, hops and a bit of booze.
T: 4. Surprising amount of alcohol for 8% but not enough to ruin things. More bitter than sweet. Good bite of malt. There's an exotic fruit thing going on in there that I can't put my finger to, so that must be the signature snake fruit.
I've never had salak, but i'd imagine that is the primary flavor.
F: 3.75. Medium to thick mouthfeel with discernible booze. Definitely a slow-goer. Not as easy going as other NE DIPAs
O: 4.25. Great NE DIPA. Happy anniversary, D96!
