Pours a hazy, deep orange coloration with a large, fluffy head. Smells of light biscuity malt and stone fruit, tropical hops, with notes of peach, passion fruit and papaya. Taste is an excellent balance of light biscuity malt and fruity, juicy, slighty herbal and resinous hops, with stone fruit, tropical and citrus notes of peach, passion fruit, papaya, graperfuit and lime peel, with just a hint of pine coming through as well. Finishes with a light bitterness and some peach, passion fruit and grapefruit lingering in the aftertaste. Soft, pillowy mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
Another excellent TIPA from District.96, who really do this style exceptionally well. Not a hint of booziness to this, with the hops standing out vibrant and well-defined, with a lot of peach and passion fruit coming through, as well as lighter citrus notes of grapefruit and lime peel. This really feels amazingly smooth for an 11% TIPA and if I didn't feel it going to my head already after almost finishing the can, I honestly wouldn't believe it has that much ABV. Very juicy and pillowy in mouthfeel, just an exceptional example of the style. I haven't had an IPA from this, seemingly under-the-radar brewery yet that wasn't fantastic.
