Pitch black with a thin tan ring. The nose has much barrel with wet wood and vanilla followed by brown sugar, fig, and lingering coconut. The taste is absolutely 3 distinct waves. Dark toasty malts and coconut first, brown sugar and molasses from the rum second, and bitter dry oak third. This is superbly complex. The mouthfeel seems a bit thin, but other than that this hits the mark. (Found old notes on this one)

L:. Pours a pitch black with a small brown head and some tan lacing on the glass.
S:. Notes of coconut and chocolate with a very strong rum, so not complex but very inviting.
T:. Strong rum, molasses, bittersweet chocolate, coconut is strong, quite a nice stout.
T:. Little smaller body than expected, slick body.
O:. The rum is strong in this one. A solid barrel aged stout.
