2020 version

.4 liters served in a tulip at the brewery. Pours one shade shy of black with a creamy, quarter inch, khaki-colored head that quickly dissipates into a consistent froth embedded with clusters of bubbles. Roasted coffee dominates the nose, followed by notes of cocoa and dark fruit. Taste nose with the addition of some black licorice and medicinal notes. Mouthfeel is light-medium with an even carbonation. Perhaps a little thin, but still on-par or the style. Overall, a solid example of style that is not brewed often enough in my opinion. Complex but drinkable without being sweet and cloying. Nice job!
