Really tough one to rate. If you like fruit beers, old school or new school smoothies this very well could be for you. Looks as expected, golden slightly haze, aroma is massive peach with a bit of funk. Flavor is where this one really loses me. MASSIVE peach, but there isn't much else going on. If tasted blind I'm not even sure I'd be able to ID this as a saison. For a beer aged in wine barrels for a year there is next to no funk or tartness. Totally not what I was expecting and very jarring. Ends up being a massive peach beer that leads to the perception of sweetness despite the beer being pretty dry in truth. Definitely feels more like a fruit beer to me than a fruited saison, and while I really enjoy the latter the former is definitely not for me and neither is this beer. Not to say this is poorly made, just not what I expected.
