Pours an effervescent mahogany/ebony with fast falling tan head. Zero carbonation & lacing, pretty viscous
S: Coffee, iron & maple syrup
T: Follows the nose, brown sugar & dryness as well up front. Maple candy, coffee, some woody hops, dryness & brown sugar once warm. Finishes dry with some iron notes coffee, maple & brown sugar
MF: Medium body, slight carbonation. Thins out & carbonation flattens a little once warmed up, skews sweet
Great drinkability for the ABV & flavor profile, this could ambush you easily. Would love to see a BA amped up version of this. In my flavor wheelhouse

I had this beer on-tap in a tulip at the Nothing’s Left taproom in Tulsa. The batch I had was listed at 7% ABV.
Appearance: to go dark brown hue with plenty of murk and a thin finger of tan foam atop.
Smell: sweet with plenty of maple syrup aroma, but also some nice chocolate notes. A dessert beer for sure, but it’s nice.
Taste: the maple syrup is still here, but it’s a bit less prominent than in the aroma. That doesn’t make this beer any less sweet, though! That said, the sweetness is not overdone. Not a bad beer at all.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess. Kinda surprised it’s not a little thicker.
Overall: this beer is actually not too bad! I’ve seen maple syrup beers go sideways before, but this one works.
