Pours noir, with a nice caramel coloured head that settles gently into the good night. What do I smell here? Chocolate, burnt caramel, coffee. The taste, as is always the case with Rorschach's stouts, is nothing like the name would indicate. But at least this one is almost decent. The caramel is strong, the rest is a nice enough stout with no surprises. Fumes of booziness takes over and lingers.
Nothing great here again. Okay enough, but honestly, the only stouts you should try from these guys, is the bourbon barrel aged, the cognac barrel aged and the pecan pie one. The former two, only when they are properly carbonated, as they like to sell them in their flat version as well.

Happy New Year to me. Poured into a tulip 355Ml offers dark night black body with beautiful collar. Nose is subtle creamy malted coffee with dusty wooden barstool grit. First sip offer milky, full, creamy coffee rich dessert. Fully complex and delicious. Creme brule finish offers wonderful ending. This one offers a complex mouthful which improves upon warming. Enjoyed as a dessert after previous indulging so sure I am slightly biased. Enjoy with steak, burgers, roast or beef bourgeon. Finish is really good as it lasts in a good way. At nearly 12% again proceed with caution but full enjoyment. This brewery is serious!
