As good as Rorschach is in creating good IPAs, the pedestrian they are with their numerous stouts. Every once in a while they hit a home run, but they are lucky if they bat .225 with them overall.
So then here I am. French vanilla.
The pour offers up a generous head that only slowly dissipates. The nose is of bitter chocolate and coffee, with a wave of sweetness. I do taste the lactose, but the vanilla is not as obvious as the name would imply. Mostly it's chocolate milk and metallic bitterness here. Not gross, but again, not that great.
