It's been a while since I had an IPA from Rorschach, even though they make much better IPAs than stouts. So here is one then.
Pours a thick orange with a quick afterthought of a head. The nose is citrusy, boozy and quite dank. The body is very heavy. The taste is the same as the nose, but there is also the oats' sweetness balancing things out, which comes almost as a surprise. Did I mention that this beer is heavy? And a bit tart. They should not have included the Nelson Sauvin hop at all. It tends to ruin things.
I bought two cans, perhaps one too many in this case.

Tried an April 355mL and she poured honey mustard thick and opaque with good collar. Strong oat and wheat nose forward with gooseberry finish. First sip is full, citrus bomb with very mild finish. Fairly complex here and at 11 proceed with caution. A well designed quad.
