Our Helles lager, the first in this series, is crafted in accordance with the Reinheitsgebot, the Bavarian beer purity law. We use filtered Toronto tap water, German pilsner malt from Heidelberg, and Hersbrucker hops grown in the Hallertau region of Bavaria. To honor our namesake, we added a touch of Switzerland—a lager yeast strain from the Swiss Alps.
Fermented cool, conditioned cold for more than six weeks, and naturally carbonated, we are thrilled to finally release our Lagerbier Hell. For me, it’s more than just a beer; it’s a return to my roots and a tribute to the journey that led me here.

Poured a 473ml can into a pint glass. A scant one finger fine white head on a very slightly hazy pale gold. The head diminishes to a persistent layer.
Tastes slightly sweet with a bready malt backbone. Light fruits. Herbal. A very lightly hopped finish.
A very smooth and soft mouthfeel. A medium/light body and light carbonation. Overall a very smooth and well balanced Helles. Well worth a try.
