32 ounce crowler, filled earlier today about 4 hours ago. Served in a Spiegelau Stout glass, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch and a half tan head. Head retention and lacing are both good. Aroma is nice, it smells mostly like coffee along with some chocolate and roasted malt. Taste is similar to the aroma, I think the coffee is dominant here but there's also chocolate, roasted malt and a bit of vanilla flavor. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's creamy and smooth with a good amount of carbonation. Made my first trip to Combustion last weekend, and while I liked everything from them I tried, this one is my favorite so far! This is the 2nd crowler of this brew that I've bought from them and I really like it. If you like coffee stouts then I definitely recommend this one. I liked their regular Dark Black Past stout too, but I think the coffee version is better. If you're in the area, stop in! $9.00 a crowler.
