Peiskos: Genesis features Idaho 7 hops, full of juicy red grapefruit, orange, apricot, papaya with overtones of resinous pine. Mandarina Bavaria hops are used as an accent to intensify the juicy orange notes. The Kveik brings big-time notes of pineapple, orange, and coconut...Heck YES!" The Norwegian word peiskos is fitting for Combustion; the cozy feeling one gets when sitting in front of a crackling fireplace enjoying its warmth.

25.4 ounce crowler filled earlier today at the brewery with a best by date of 5/24 written on the label. Served in a Combustion Mug Club pint glass, the beer pours a hazy golden/orange color with about an inch off-white. Head retention and lacing are both pretty good. Aroma is nice, the brew smells mostly like tropical fruit and grapefruit, along with some pine and bready malt. For the most part I think the taste follows the aroma, but there's also some orange, grassy and citrus zest flavors noticeable too. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's slick, smooth and easy to drink with a good amount of carbonation. I thought this was good, definitely worth picking up!
