32 ounce crowler, filled today at the brewery with a best by date of 11/26 written on the label. Served in a Combustion Mug Club glass, the beer pours a dark reddish/brown color with about an inch tan head that stayed around for a while. There's also a good amount of lacing. I like the aroma, the brew smells like bourbon, caramel, pine hops, oak and some citrusy hops. Taste is similar to the aroma, but with the addition of some candied oranges and earthy flavors. Nice balance between all the flavors. Bourbon is pretty noticeable in both the taste and aroma, but not overpowering. Kinda surprised the hops still have a kick, but that's a good thing here. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's a bit creamy and slick with a good amount of carbonation. I thought it was a good overall brew, definitely worth trying if you like barrel aged strong ales.
