Pours a cloudy, deep golden amber coloration with a medium, frothy head. Smells of doughy malt and a strong sage note, as well as just a hint of raspberry. Taste is a good balance of doughy malt and accents of bitter, floral hops, but rather dominated by the sage, with lighter raspberry and a hint of acidity also coming through. Finsihes with a light bitterness and acidity, as well as some sage and a hint of raspberry lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a light/medium body and medium carbonation.
This is a rather interesting beer that I personally quite enjoyed since I'm a big fan of herbal beers and while the sage may be a bit too much in the foreground for some here, It never becomes overpowering at all and I do think that there is a good balance of malt, hops and additives to this, with the strong herbal and slightly sweet, bitter and acidic elements all working together quite harmoniously overall.
