Pours an ember, reddish color with a bigger, eggshell colored head.
Smells of smoked nutshells, meaty toffee and glazed caramel among spicy noble hops.
Has a soft, yet refreshing mouthfeel with a late, well working effervescence to it.
Tastes of slightly salty, herbal campfire, entangled into toffee and rock sugar among earthy bakers chocolate. Develops a smoky, hop bitterness covered sweetness, carried by a smooth, velvet mouthfeel. Finishes herbal, spicy, sweet and dry with an ongoing smoothness, leading to a bittersweet, long lasting finish.
Strong headed, unusual with absolutely no beetroot in the taste derectable - this is still a very well done and equally challenging Doppelbock with a fantastic mouthfeel to it.
