Dark brown to black color, with a special collar when casting, showing that it's a fresh brew.
Smell of amaretto and dark chocolate.
From the start, the marzipan strikes with its almond flavors and a pleasant sweet bitterness, on a consistent dark chocolate background with strong notes of fresh cocoa and coffee. Liquor / amaretto sensation. The hops outline some vague herbal sensations (rather towards dried plants / flowers, not the strong earthy flavours specific to IPAs).
Post dry taste that disappears slowly, leaving a shade of roasted cocoa and almonds. Despite the name, it is not very sweet, but rather dense, reminding of a brownie.
Once again, Wicked Barrel proves that stouts are their sweet spot, already becoming a reference.
