Le Fruited Series: Cherry

375ml bottle, blend #1. Served in a tumbler glass. Pour is a murky medium brown body. Looks like unfiltered apple cider. One finger white head, short retention. No lacing. Smell is a mild tart cherry, a bit of toffee, lemon, moderate lactic acidity, a touch of leather. The acidity dominates here on the nose. Flavour is similar; moderate acidity mixed in with a mild cherry tartness, a bit of sweetness not unlike a flanders oud bruin. In fact, this style is what I would liken this beer to the most. A bit of lemon and leather also. But on the slightly sweeter yet acidic side. Mouthfeel is lighter bodied, slightly undercarbonated. A bit too straightforward for me; close to being a flanders oud bruin but without the complexity of it.
