all the beers i had in here were pretty simple and straightforward, but at the same time that they lacked any real innovation, they were also all quite well done, professional compared to the field, and just easy drinking and tasty. this pale ale they do is probably the best example of that. its light and clean, brightly hopped, bitter enough but not overly powerful there, and dry, well carbonated, and fresh tasting. its not no dry hoppy, its not hazy or interesting from a malt standpoint, but its clean and really nicely balanced. i like it being so dry and crisp, makes it a great session beer, and while the hops do have some citrus notes, the relative simplicity of the hop profile is also sort of nice, not too much thought required, just good beer. clear for the most part, holds its head, and drinks very light. quick finish, bitter for a moment, but balanced by crackery malts all the way through. not going to change the world with this one, but i cant imagine a beer drinker who wouldnt appreciate this too. basic but quality.
