My first packaged beer from HeadFlyer. 375ML bottle that’s very pretty.

Can’t even hear it whisper at me when the cap pops & the black pour is nearly lifeless. Nose isn’t quite dead all day, but it’s weakening. Little malt, little barrel. Not exciting.

Bamf’d is flatter than 8th century Earth. Flat. Dull. Dead. Heavy. It detracts significantly from… what? Not much. Barrel. Malt. But it’s so iron-weight I have no stomach for plumbing its depths for anything else (which I’m not sure is there).

Drain pour. Something went wrong here & it isn’t purty.

Pours a very dark brown, almost black. 1 finger off white head. Retention isn't the best, but for the ABV, not bad. No lacing on the glass.
The nose hit me as I was pouring. I did get a nice coconut aroma. Up close I get tons of barrel notes - caramel, and boozy, along with the coconut aroma.
Taste - I measured the beer in my glass at 55 degrees F - Nice mellow coconut, but then there's the background of the barrel There's caramel notes to this beer.
For an 11% beer, it seems a bit thin. There's a bit of a warming sensation that is pleasing.
Tasty beer from Headflyer.
